Bowfishing through the ice

All,

Any of you ever cut a hole in the ice and shoot carp? I have never tried it (in all the years I have been shooting fish) for some reason.

If I cut a hole in the ice, and if there are carp there (almost certain) how long will it take them to find the hole? I am positive this body of water to be very low in oxygen content. It is a flood plain off the river, so i am sure there to be carp in it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

pat if the oxygen is low it should work at shouldn't take long for them to show up
