every forum needs a rig thread. i will start with a problem we had last summer maybe ya'll can help. we are running a 4000 watt gene from tractor supply with 3500 running watts. we're pushing 6 500 watt hologen lamps. we have a problem burning bulbs up way to quick, and now the lights want work, have really messed with them since. we bridged the lights up 3 to one plug on each side and are using a industrial surge protector. we havnt fliped the surge protector yet, so im asuming its not grounding off, or sparking. we brigded the front light to the middle light, then the middle light to the back, then to the gene. did that on both sides. we dont touch the bulbs when we insert them. i just cant figure out, or have no earthly idea why we are burning up lights. there industrial shop lights, they dont get soaked. ANY HELP GUYS?

getting soaked is not a problem as i run no lenses and burn out very few lights... i runn all 300 watt bulbs no need for 500watts. your problem i do believe is you lights bounce to much and break the filiment holders

yep defenetly downsize to 300 watt blubs or even try to get 350 ultras kinda pricey and hard to find at times. but well worth it.
